We have a setup of Windows 2000 AD in our organization (of around 2000
PCs) and have around 50 Unix boxes. Since I am responsible for the
Unix servers I have been asked to use the existing Win2k AD to support
the Solaris/Linux servers. I have installed AD4Unix and setup the
Win2k AD for use by Solaris/Linux servers.

I am trying to install pam_ldap and nss_ldap on the Solaris/Linux
servers but simply cannot get these to compile. I have read that these
packages need to get compiled using the –enable-schema-mapping and
–enable-rfc2307bis options, but simply cannot get these to install. I
keep getting the "error : schema mapping requires the Berkeley DB
library" while trying to compile these two modules.

Please let me know if I am on the right track and if so would
appreciate if you could tell me how to go about doing this.

Have you installed the "Berkeley open source embedded database system"?
source and precompiled binaries can be found at www.sunfreeware.com.
