Add it to the optionslist, eg. if you wanted to add user quotas to / its
line should look like this:
LABEL=/ / ext3 defaults,usrquota 1 1

Are you trying to add quotas to /home because you don't seem to have a
separate filesystem for home, and you can only add quotas on a
filesystem basis.

I believe the basic Workstation install does not require the second CD.

If you can access the second CD, you can copy both CDs to a fat32
partition and perform a hard disk installation.

This is also very easy with qmail. Virtual domain/user handling is
one of the things it does best.

The ifcfg-eth0:x files are in addition to the ifcfg-eth0. ifcfg-eth0 sets
up the initial eth0 interface...which represents the physical interface.
ifcfg-eth0:x sets up virtual interfaces eth0:x.

If you mean other users that are logged into the same box than look at the
wall command. If you are trying to send to users on another host then you
can use the rwall command.

I suggest that you review Courier MTA. One package provides you with
integrated SMTP, POP, and IMAP service (plus webmail and calendar if you
want em).

You can use LDAP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or db files for your user/auth info
if you like.

This might prove easier than stitching together a bunch of buzzword
protocols yourself.

I am trying to figure out the safest method to allow users to execute CGI
scripts. My first thought was to use a ScriptAliasMatch to move all of the
users cgi-bin directory out of the public_html directory, but the SuExec
mechanism will not allow this.

My second thought was to turn on the "AddHandler cgi-script cgi" but does
this pose a security risk?

What I did was to add a directory statement for
"/home/*/public_html/cgi-bin" and added the option ExecCGI.

I have it working I am just wanting input into the security aspect of this?
I am the only user of the system so it is not aspect for this system, but in
a production environment what would be the best solution for allowing users
execute their own CGIs.

Thanks,
Chad

There are 3 setting in /etc/resolv.conf
nameserver 192.168.252.200
nameserver 210.0.144.26
nameserver 210.0.144.29

My ISP only provides dynamic IP address. The last 2 settings are my ISP's
DNS servers. I have no idea of the first one.

Kindly advise what references I have to remove to DNS servers and how ?

I did not set up the host for DHCP because only dynamic IP address is
provided by my ISP.

I'm trying to run sendmail in a script. I think that the sending machine
does not transmit my domain name (it transmits localhost) and the
receiving machine won't accept the mail if the domain is not real.

I usually run pine, and everything seems to work fine. My mail is
accepted as usual, some somehow there must be a problem when running
sendmail from the command line.

I've searched around on the web a bit and couldn't find the error or
explaination. any help would be great.

here's my returned email that I got back with the error message.
