what do you think to add a little new feature to a new redhat version ... my
idea is it, when we install redhat that we can save the list of the packages
and the xconfigs etc to a disk (floppy) so we can reuse the same
configuration for another machine, or when we want to do a clean install, we
still have the list of the packages and the configuration files.
Somethink like a backup from the setup procedure...
When I installed Suse before a long time, I saw that they already had this,
and I think it is a very useful feature...
What do you think about it?
David
Hi David!
RedHat already has this kind of feature. They called it kickstart. Have
a look at mkkickstart an ksconfig.
Bye,
Lars
David, I think it's a damn good idea.
