Well,.. let me rephrase the question:

I'm thinking of purchasing a control panel for hosting services and the
provider of the control panel says they will release
the new version and make it compatible with RH10 and skipp the 8.x and 9.x
(currently they have it running with 7.2 or
7.3).

So that kinda confuses me.

Also, or regardless of the new release, I plan to buy a new system soon and
I wanted to know
of any hardware problems I might encounter.

The system that I plan to buy is:

P4 3.06Ghz, i875P chipset (Canterwood) with Serial ATA RAID on board, 2 NIC
on board (1Gigabyte and 1 10/100),
6 USB2.0 ports and 2GB of RAM.
2 Serial HD 120GB +8MB Cache.

Does RH Linux 7.2 (Distribution) already support Serial ATA RAID?
Any other hardware I need to be aware of that my be of an issue?

I appreciate your thought about this.

Red Hat has released beta(s) of 10.0. If you go to ftp.redhat.com, you can
find the latest beta. My suggestion is to download the latest beta and try
it out.

Dig a little deeper. The README files in the taroon subdirs state that
taroon (advanced server, and work station) are RH Enterprise Linux 2.9.5
betas.
