Thanks,
-Alon.
I think some people do not understand the whole concept of a Linux
distribution.
This isn't "Windows," it's a collection of tools plus the Linux kernel in a
convenient package that the packager--in this case, Red Hat--chooses to
label as a "release."
You can install all the latest RPMs and be "up2date" if you want, without
buying another "release."

Red Hat doesn't release on firm, fixed dates, but you can make a reasonably
educated guess by looking at when their previous versions came out. Here's
the release schedule for the last few years, as best as I can remember
things:
5.1 May 1998 5.2 Oct 1998
6.0 Apr 1999 6.1 Sep 1999
6.2 Mar 2000 7.0 Oct 2000
7.1 Apr 2001 7.2 Sep 2001
7.3 Jun 2002 8.0 Sep 2002
9 Mar 2003 10 ??
The general pattern with Red Hat has been two release per year. The first
release has varied quite a bit, and come out anytime between March and June.
The second release has been showing up in September or October.
So if you use this as a rough guide, then RH 10 will most likely be released
in the Sep/Oct timeframe.
Cheers!
