Hi,

Could anyone tell me what's the difference between Linux and Window
Networking? I am new on Linux 7.2.

As Win 2000, 98 & NT client got to login to NT server, when the clients
start up. Does Linux got to do that? How could I do the setup?

As Win client or even server could share the folders, you could even see
each others on Network manager? Could Linux do the same stuff?

I understand FTP and Telnet could access another computer, but does
Linux have other way to do the file sharing stuffs?

Any help or web info would be appreciated!

It sounds like you want to learn about smb. This is a functional
equivalent to the Windows network neighborhood. Do a search for smb or
mounting a smbfs.

If you want to share resources on your Linux box with the Windows boxes,
you need to use the Samba server to control that. I think you can find the
server and lots of docs at www.samba.org
