I am looking to build a gateway machine using an old machine (pentium120mhz
32mb ram and a 1gb HDD). All i want it to do is act as a firewall and a
gateway, and hopefully be able to browse the web a little (although this is
not essential)

As i am a complete Newbie to linux, which version should i be looking at for
a Gateway/firewall OS?

Many thanks in advance

Try smoothwall.

Boots off a CD and works with no hard disk. Incorruptable. Uncorruptable?
