I'm a newby to Linux. I've taken a former Windows box and tried to
install Mandrake. I bought the package, that is all the disks an the
manual. I got as far as the hard drives and hit a wall. My Hrd drives
(RAID) are from Promise Technology. Mandrake doesn't have them listed,
so no drivers.

Does anyone know of a way to 1) obtain the driver, and 2) install in the
Mandrake setup? It seemed to me that the driver list was rather short.

I just googled for "Promise Technology Linux raid driver" and turned up a
couple of things you might want to take a look at:
