I am running Mandrake 7.0 on an old P90 with an Adaptec 152x and a
YAMAHA CRW6416S CD writer. The CD writer seems to be able to burn CDs
OK, but has problems reading the ones it has burned. The way this
problem shows up is when mounting a CD or trying to burn a multi-session
CD the whole system hangs. If I do this without running X windows I get
some SCSI-related messages:

0xc4ee1400: taget=0; lun=0; cmdd=(Start/Stop Unix 00 00 00 01 00);
residual=0; buffers=0; phase |disconnected|send-ident|; in other
(MESSAGE IN);

waiting: SCSISEQ(RESELI); SCSISIG(DATAOUT); INTSTAT(lo);
SSTAT(BUSFREE PHASECHG); SSTAT(); SXFRCTL0(CHI); SIGNAL(); SELID();
SELID(00), SSTAT2(SEMPTY); SFCNT(0); SCSICNT(0), OFFCNT(0), SSTAT4();
SMACNTRL0 (16BIT PIO READ INTEN); DMASTAT(DFIFOEMP)
enabled interrupts (ENSELDI)

Aside from throwing out the CD writer, burning the machine, and running
some other OS, any idea what I can do to keep it from hanging?

If you can help, please e-mail me: I don't always keep up on the news.

Thanks to all.
