Hi,

i have an problem, i use UW 2.1.3 with the new Adaptec 29160N Ultra 160
Controler. I have installed a clean UW-System and used the HBA - Disk of the
U160 - Controller.
After i haved finished, at boot, the system prints the message

/etc/scsi/cpqunits not found

The System is stable, and no other error messages are printed.

What does this message means ?

thx
Alex

Hello,

I thought that 29160N was only for Microsoft OS !

Negatory... The 29160N <-- is the 32bit version with a different
connector configuration than the 29160 and is supported in ALL the same
OS's as the 29160 is. Treat it like a 29160 except for the cable
connectors.

the 19160 card is for Microsoft only (looks EXACTLY like 29160N).

As far as the problem the first guy asked... sorry, I don't know that
one.

/etc/scsi/cpqunits is a Compaq add on and it is part of EFS, it can be
used to resolve resource manager UNIT number
conflicts. /etc/scsi/cpqunits sets UNIT number of each HBA to match
System Configuration as set by SCU.
