I realize this is *not a forsale group, however I'd like the following
RAID controller auction to be viewed by those who know what this is,
and what it does. Here goes:

http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=476691870

IBM PC ServeRAID SCSI adapter
Model ESS, 06H9334, OPT P/N 70G8489, FRU P/N 76H6875

To give you an idea what kind of SCSI controller this is... there are
three (3) separate Adaptec AIC-7880P controllers on the board, in
addition to a IBM PowerPC 403GC processor. PCI Bus, three UW-SCSI
internal connectors, one external connector. I have tested this as far
as installing it in a machine, and making sure the machine posts, and
card initializes. Hence, I will guarantee against DOA. Unit only. No
driver disks or manuals provided, however these are found on IBM's web
sites.

Specifications follow:

Maximum 8 arrays
4 MB Cache memory
Supports up to 45 SCSI hard disks with 15 SCSI harddisk
drives on each bus
Supports 8 maximum Logical Drives
25 MHz Microprocessor
3 SCSI Channels
Maximum 20 MB/sec SCSI Transfer Speed
Supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, and Enhanced-1
32-bit System PCI Data Bus
Allows RAID-5 and RAID-1 logical drives to be data scrubbed
via synchronization utilities.
Supports hot-spare drives

If you are interested in a robust SCSI/RAID controller, you may wish
to check out the above auction. If not, sorry for the intrusion.
Thanks.
