Linux -ADSL line and config PPPOE

Can somebody help me.

I have a installed a Ethernetcart in my computer. The adres of the eth is
10.0.0.150. When ping this adres the cart is responding. I connected a ADSL
modem to the eth. The adres of the modem is 10.0.0.138. I can also ping my
modem.

Then i downloaded the program rp-pppoe-2.3.rpm and installed it. With the
program adsl-setup i gave the correct username and password. usepeerdns = no
and no firewall.

I can not connect to my ISP.
I started the program ADSL-START in DEBUG mode.
In de logfile i could see that my eth0 was up with the correct adres. PPP0
was used. The only thing is:

Every time i got a LCP TIME OUT. The modem is not receiving any PADO
pakkets.

Can anyone tell me what the probleem is.
