$ escputil -c
to clean printer's heads, nothing happens.
Please help with this issue. My old printer is an Epson C20UX.
Thanks for any help
Rodolfo
P.S.: the printer's heads are properly cleaned with MS Windows utility.

ISTM that if you need specify /dev/usb/lp0 to specify which printer
to determine ink level from, shouldn't you do the same for cleaning
heads?

Like the recent HP 1120 thread, maybe the driver for that old
printer doesn't have that functionality?

It doesn't work either with:
$ escputil -c -r /dev/usb/lp0

No, because it used to work with Debian Etch.
Any help highly appreciated.

I just tried it on my system & got this:
# escputil -i /dev/usb/lp0
Escputil version 5.0.2, Copyright (C) 2000-2006 Robert Krawitz
Escputil comes with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY; for details type 'escputil -l'
This is free software, and you are welcome to redistribute it
under certain conditions; type 'escputil -l' for details.
Obtaining ink levels requires using a raw device.
#
man pages don't say what the raw device name is.. no clue..

Bugs
USB-connected printers sometimes fail to identify or return ink levels.
You may have to repeat the command. This is probably a timing issue in
escputil, not a flaw in the printer.
