Hi,

I am trying to install Spotify in Debian Stretch, using the
instructions at https://wiki.debian.org/spotify.

However, when I try to add the Spotify repository signing key with:
sudo apt-key adv --keyserver hkp://pool.sks-keyservers.net --recv-keys
BBEBDCB318AD50EC6865090613B00F1FD2C19886

I get the following message:
Executing: /tmp/tmp.WpSOFxxCW4/gpg.1.sh --keyserver hkp://pool.sks-
keyservers.net --recv-keys BBEBDCB318AD50EC6865090613B00F1FD2C19886
gpg: key 13B00F1FD2C19886: public key "[User ID not found]" imported
gpg: Total number processed: 1
gpg:               imported: 1
gpg: WARNING: nothing exported
gpg: no valid OpenPGP data found.
gpg: Total number processed: 0

When I do sudo apt update I get the message:
Fout:2 http://repository.spotify.com stable InRelease
De volgende ondertekeningen konden niet geverifieerd worden omdat de
publieke sleutel niet beschikbaar is: NO_PUBKEY 13B00F1FD2C19886

It's in Dutch, it means that the signature for the Spotify repository
couldn't be verified because the public key isn't available.

When I try to sudo apt install spotify-client, I get a message that
package spotify-client can't be found.

Spotify used to work in Debian Jessie. Any help on how I can get it to
work on Stretch?

Hi Bart,

just tried and instruction for stretch work fine for me.

Maybe you copyed/pasted something like a cr/lf when trying ?
The key seems to be wrapped.

Thank you for your reply. I solved the problem by removing
/etc/apt/trusted.gpg. After that the instructions from the Debian site
worked fine.
