Debian 11 Cinnamon Lock Screen Issue

Greetings, all.
I am using the Cinnamon desktop environment on Debian 11. All but one thing has been great so far.
When I wake my laptop from suspension by opening the lid, before the lock screen shows up, I see
a brief flash of the desktop behind. This is quite concerning. Is this the right place to get help
for this issue?
