Can someone please tell me (very briefly) why I should install Debian instead
of Red Hat or Slackware linux?

I am in the process of setting up my new PC and want to be able to boot DOS/
Windows, OS/2, and Linux. I do not have the time and knowledge to experiment
with different distributions.

Thanks in advance,

Red Hat Linux is free, all Red Hat tools and the installation
scripts are GPL-ed, and it is available from many FTP sites,
gratis. There are very active mailing lists for Red Hat, and
the archives are available (and searchable) back to 1994.
