acpi support in HP

looking at:

#/usr/share/doc/acpi-support/examples/config/Hewlett-Packard.config

i do not see the device i am working with.

looking at:

#usr/share/acpi-support/device-funcs

i see that i can enter in individual entries and receive the device info

#cat /sys/class/dmi/id/sys_vendor

Hewlett-Packard

#cat /sys/class/dmi/id/product_name

HP Mini

#cat /sys/class/dmi/id/product_version

F .10

i see that i could create the file with the bash heading and a case statement and chmod x permissions, but the question remains if the existing code in the OS software would support the HP Mini

And where would the file go.

i work 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM and am a bit fuzzy with fatigue at times.

time is all i have.

Thank you.

i am also documenting everything that i do, and find useful for other human species and am looking at publishing on the web. or if you know of a HP laptop support web site other then the official HP that is difficult to navigate, let me know.
