Needs-Build for m68k is empty

Hi Aurelien!

I just installed updates and the latest kernel on elgar and restarted
the machine and consequently the buildd.

However, elgar is not picking up any new packages for building. Looking
at Needs-Build for m68k [1], it seems the queue is empty.

Any idea?

Other port architectures like hppa seem to be affected as well.

Easy. Just pick a package (I use src:python3.4 here as example)
and look for its state:

Dependency installability problem for [45]python3.4 on m68k:

sysvinit-utils depends on missing:
- startpar


So, the fix is to build src:startpar… except…

The problem here is that sysvinit-utils is already built from
the new sysvinit. The maintainer should have made startpar a
Build-Depends to ensure proper ordering.

Just build startpar manually once, upload it (and, if needed,
let the buildds binNMU it thereafter).

If necessary, I can do that.

Eek, don’t! I just uploaded. If you upload now, the Packages
file will have md5sum mismatches!

Well, I can't get it to build right now and sbuild's output isn't
so helpful. The only message I get is that it fails at init
stage, any idea?

I'm normally using pbuilder, so I'm not that familiar with sbuild.

I failed to build it anyway. It fails at the initial stage. Tried
building with:

sbuild --dist unstable <dsc file>

Can you give me a short heads up on how to rebuild a package
manually in such a case?

I’ve just used cowbuilder. I always do, for my own uploads.

That’s the wanna-build states, they only update when w-b runs.
I got an ACCEPT mail already, and it’s on incoming.d-p.o.
