Dear Maintainer,
The kernel driver (qede) for QLogic network adapters fails to load the firmware 'qed/qed_init_values_zipped-8.59.1.0.bin', which is available in the upstream kernel firmware since commit [1], but not yet included in the current firmware-qlogic package.
This situation makes it very difficult for users to use network on machines with QLogic network adapters (QL41102 in our case).
From the kernel log:
[ 32.495504] qede 0000:0b:00.0: firmware: failed to load qed/qed_init_values_zipped-8.59.1.0.bin (-2)
Current package content:
root@debian:~# dpkg -L firmware-qlogic|grep qed_init_values
/lib/firmware/qed/qed_init_values_zipped-8.10.10.0.bin
/lib/firmware/qed/qed_init_values_zipped-8.33.1.0.bin
/lib/firmware/qed/qed_init_values_zipped-8.33.11.0.bin
/lib/firmware/qed/qed_init_values_zipped-8.37.2.0.bin
/lib/firmware/qed/qed_init_values_zipped-8.42.2.0.bin
=> firmware qed_init_values_zipped-8.59.1.0.bin is missing.
Best regards
Patrice
