Package:  openjdk-18-jre-headless
Version:   18~32ea-1

System:    Debian Sid
Kernel:    5.15.23
Desktop:  Xfce 4.16

Error message is:
java. lang. UnsupportedOperationException: The Security Manager is deprecated and will be removed in a future release

Dear Maintainer,
since the last update of openjdk-18-jre (and openjdk-18-jre-headless) the banking program hibiscus 2.10.4, based on jamaica 2.10,
the mentioned error message appears and the program does not start.
In the changelogs i saw this entry:
openjdk-18 (18~32ea-1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * OpenJDK 18 snapshot, build 32.
  * Add jwebserver into the openjdk-jdk-headless package.

It would be nice if the error is found and fixed.
Thank you in advance.

Why do you think this is a JRE problem? Obviously, Hibiscus uses a deprecated component.
If Hibiscus does not claim Java 18 compatibility, this is not even a bug.
Reassigning to hibiscus.
