Package: transmission-daemon

Recently upgraded from Bullseye to Bookworm and hit what I think is this issue. Transmission-daemon gets killed by OOM every few hours. To be fair, I have a really huge amount of torrents, but it was running fine on the older version. Now it consumes every bit of RAM (8GB available) it has access to. In a torrent seedbox like this, it is completely unusable. Will version 4.0 reach stable or should i look into backports?
