Description : Sioyek is a PDF viewer designed for reading research papers and technical books

Sioyek is a cross-platform PDF viewer that caters towards users who view technical and scientific documents. It provides features like the ability to jump to bibliographic references (regardless of the presence of hyperlinks in the source PDF document), facilities to highlight and search subsections of a given document, and it allows users to create viewing 'portals' that aid document comprehension by displaying diagrams tagged as related in a separate window while the user navigates the original text.

Developer of sioyek here.
I have recently made some changes to the build script which should make packaging for debian easier. I have already packaged it myself and it seems to be working well (I built it on Ubuntu 21.10 and tested it on a vanilla Ubuntu 22.04 Beta virtual machine, it might not run on older distros) . Here is the `debian` folder that I used:

I would prefer if someone else packaged sioyek (mainly because I am a total noob when it comes to packaging) but if no one is interested maybe I can do it myself.

In case you end up doing that yourself, please refer to this page:

https://mentors.debian.net/intro-maintainers/

If you have any questions during the process, the mentors list/channel
will almost always answer them, but package review and sponsoring have
fewer people working on them, the main thing is persistence.

Yeah, I have to say many thanks. This is by *far* the best PDF reader I
have seen out there. That it can also read EPUB just absolutely blows my
mind as well.

Good job!
