Source: wsjtx
Version: 2.6.1+repack-1
Severity: wishlist

This bug is for coordination purposes. I am in the process of preparing
an upload of WSJT-X 2.7.0-rc2 to experimental, but I believe that it
may require an upload of hamlib 4.6 (which will also likely need to go
to experimental first).

The debian branch will be pushed to debian/experimental to follow DEP-14
(https://dep-team.pages.debian.net/deps/dep14/), and if the team is okay
with it, I propose switching from master -> debian/latest when the
package is ready for upload to unstable.

Cheers,
tony

I have built wsjtx_2.7.0~rc2+repack-1 against bookworm and tested WSJT-X
running against the current version of hamlib in bookworm without any
issues, so I don't think there is a requirement for this to be
coordinated with an upload of hamlib.

I'll do some more testing in trixie/unstable, but based on what I've
seen so far, I think 2.7.0~rc2 is a candidate for an upload to unstable.
Please let me know if there are any concerns.

Thanks,
tony

After successful testing with this version on trixie/unstable, I have
uploaded 2.7.0~rc2 to unstable and updated the default branch in the
Salsa repo to debian/latest.

As always, thank you for filing bug reports and suggestions.

Perhaps of interest to WSJT-X users is this recent thread [1] on
wsjt-devel regarding new functionality added to PSKReporter for the
upcoming solar eclipse [2].

Cheers,
tony
