You may want to follow this thread. 5.3 and 5.4 seem to be difficult
kernels for Intel graphic cards. It's unknown if 5.5 will fix it once
and for all.

https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/intel/issues/451

On an old generation of hardware, I had issue on 5.3, fixed on 5.4. On a
new generation, I have issue with 5.4 and not 5.3.

Hi,

I have try with the new linux-image-5.4.0-3-amd64 (I have see in the
changelog that this version introduce various i915 modification).

The bug is present also in this version.
Probably it is less frequent (need more time to pop up).

It seem that I have the system freeze only if I use a particular web
application for 3-4 hours (probably, as workaround, I can try to close
the browser each hour and restart it). In a normal browser use
(navigation) I never had a system freeze.

I will wait the 5.5 to see if it will fix this bug.

Ciao
Davide

I am seeing very similar problems to this since switching from Buster
to Bullseye a couple of weeks ago. I similarly suspected the change in
Kernel to be the culprit as whilst using Buster I had no issues.

Is there some relatively simple way to test the 5.5 Kernel or any idea
when it might be available for Bullseye?
