Package: terminator
Version: 1.90+bzr-1705-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I am installing Debian on a new system and found that terminator did not start. Running 'terminator' with no arguments on a command line resulted in the following being printed to standard error:

Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/terminator", line 105, in <module> ipc.new_window_cmdline(optionslist) File "/usr/share/terminator/terminatorlib/ipc.py", line 177, in _exec bus = dbus.SessionBus() File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/dbus/_dbus.py", line 211, in __new__ mainloop=mainloop) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/dbus/_dbus.py", line 100, in __new__ bus = BusConnection.__new__(subclass, bus_type, mainloop=mainloop) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/dbus/bus.py", line 122, in __new__ bus = cls._new_for_bus(address_or_type, mainloop=mainloop) dbus.exceptions.DBusException: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.Spawn.ExecFailed: /usr/bin/dbus-launch terminated abnormally without any error message I believe I already had `dbus` installed. I did not have `dbus-x11` installed, and installing that fixed the problem. Here is the content of `/etc/apt/sources.list`: deb http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian stable main contrib non-free

Hello Markus,

This package is team maintained, you are welcome at board.

At the moment I am a little bit busy. Just go ahead with your NMU to
fix the RC bug.

Kind regards,
