Dear Maintainer,

* What led up to the situation?

I connected my already paired headset to my machine.

* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or

ineffective)?

It connected without error

* What was the outcome of this action?

Chrome was not outputting any sound to my bluetooth headset

* What outcome did you expect instead?

I expect sound should have been directed from chrome to my headset automatically after my headset connects to the computer.

I eventually found that I could manually switch output using Pulse Volume control. It would be better to automatically switch when the bt device connects.

Fix involves adding "{ path = "pactl" args = "load-module module-switch-on-connect" }"

to the /usr/share/pipewire/pipewire-pulse.conf file

Please consider making this the default

The switch-on-connect module is disabled by default because too much
agressive in its way to handle switches. I won't enable it by default.

The switch is managed by wireplumber, and it works properly in
general. But, you are
probably facing a similar issue to https://bugs.debian.org/998073

BTW, are you using wireplumber? If so, can you report your issue to
the wireplumber
bug tracker?
