Bug#823094: xfce4-session: Fails to start window manager and/or some panel

Dear Maintainer,

Since a few days, my testing system (updated almost daily) issues a strange behaviour in starting the XFCE4 desktop :
the window manager isn't started, and the top most panel doesn't start, whereas another panel and some apps started at session start appear.

Restarting X eventually works again corrctly (lightdm + xfce4).

Here's an excerpt of .xsession-errors when that happend :

Any hope that anyone cares enough to give hints or guide me through ways to improve the diagnosis ?

FYI, this is almost systematic now, and I have to Alt+F2 start xfwm4 manually at every session start :-/

That looks weird, it seems that another window manager is running. You could
try to move cleanup your cache session (in the session properties) or move
.cache/sessions away (you can make a backup before if you want).
