Package: dovecot-imapd
Version: 1:2.1.7-7
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

* What led up to the situation?

I guess aptitude full-upgrade to wheezy

* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?

Move mail from spam to Inbox

* What was the outcome of this action?

Mail returned to spam

* What outcome did you expect instead?

mail be and stay in Inbox.

Got this in /var/log/mail.info:

Jun 10 14:38:35 s dovecot: imap(bernhard): Error:
file_dotlock_create(/var/mail/bernhard) failed: Permission
denied (euid=1000(bernhard) egid=1000(bernhard) missing +w
perm: /var/mail, we're not in group 8(mail), dir owned by
0:8 mode=0775) (set mail_privileged_group=mail)

Workaround:
addgroup bernhard mail
/etc/init.d/dovecot restart #not sure if required

I think you have run into a well known problem. See
/usr/share/doc/dovecot-core/README.Debian.gz for a discussion.
