When open ftp server whis non sustem codepage non-english charset show wrong
this patch add optional converting codepage
for buil add
--with-modules=mod_codeconv to debian/rules
and add to proftpd.conf this strings
# Uncomment this strings to convert codepage four clients
#CharsetLocal UTF-8
#CharsetRemote CP1251
also i build proftpd-dfsg_1.3.1-14.1.dsc whits this patch and add
UseReverseDNS to config
