whenever i try to send an email it fails and gives the following lines in /var/log/mail.log
Dec 10 22:09:18 mezumil64 sSMTP[30313]: /etc/ssmtp/ssmtp.conf not found
Dec 10 22:09:18 mezumil64 sSMTP[30313]: 530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first. 28sm2455179eyg.36

To fix your problem, add the username you are using to run ssmtp to the
mail group list in /etc/groups. Something like:

grep ^mail /etc/group
mail:x:8:rob
