Package: firehol
Version: 3.1.6+ds-8
Severity: minor
X-Debbugs-Cc: fpou...@metrodore.fr

Dear Maintainer,

In previous Debian Releases, Firehol needed START_FIREHOL set in
/etc/default/firehol.

In current stable release, systemd launcher seems to ignore this
setting.

The official firehol doc tell this setting has been introduced in
Debian.

The README.Debian states that: «
FireHOL has to be enabled in /etc/default/firehol to
get started; to enable it set START_FIREHOL to anything
else than NO/no.
»

We wonder if this setting is a legacy one to be cleaned or if the
systemd launcher is laking of sourcing those settings.
https://agir.april.org/issues/4823 (french).

Do we face to a launcher bug or a docuentation bug ?

Best regards and very thanks for your work.
François

In bullseye, the behavior appears to be consistant: START_FIREHOL=No
makes it not working.
