Other people seem to find this resolved by upgrading to 5.5, so I'm about to
try that with the Debian-packaged 5.5.0-rc5-amd64 kernel.

Hello,

I find the same error messages in my logs,
random screen freezes seem to happen.

the tty keeps working, it is only the X11 default session that freezes,

after switching back and forward from a tty i can login again,
but the screen then is the same as before, frozen,
with only a mouse pointer to move.
