Package: spectre-meltdown-checker
Version: 0.44-1~bpo10+1
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
Each run of spectre-meltdown-checker causes dmesg to print out a line:
msr: Write to unrecognized MSR 0x49 by perl (pid: 531711). Please report to
x...@kernel.org.
I have reported this to kernel devs, and they have replied with this list:
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tip/tip.git/about/
Indeed this code is there:
0x49 perl (spectre-meltdown-
checker.sh)
Can you please fix your package as explained by
kernel.org page.
Thank you.
