Package: viewmol
Version: 2.4.1-18
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I discovered this while testing viewmol in Debian Edu Wheezy. When
trying to select viewmol from the science menu in Gnome, a popup show up
with (translated from norwegian by me) this content:

Could not start "viewmol"
Error changing to the directory "$HOME" (No such file or directory)
[Close]

The cause is this field in the viewmol.desktop file:

Path=$HOME

When I remove this line, the program start as it should. Please remove
that line from the desktop file. Tagging the bug patch as the fix is to
remove one line from a text file, even though I did not provide the diff
to do so.

I tested the viewmol menu entry in KDE, and here it worked. So it is
Gnome not understanding Path=$HOME. No idea if it is according to the
specification or not. Perhaps the problem is with Gnome and not
viewmol?
