$ exiftool IMG_20221102_000230.jpg | wc -l
77
$ jhead -autorot IMG_20221102_000230.jpg
Nonfatal Error : 'IMG_20221102_000230.jpg' Command has invalid characters.
$ exiftool IMG_20221102_000230.jpg | wc -l
23
jhead 1:3.06.0.1-2 is not affected.

Hi Stefan,
it would have been helpful if you had attached an image that shows this
behavior. I have an idea what the problem might be, but having access to your
test case for verification would be good. Feel free to send it directly to my
