When I try to browse an SMB share in Thunar, it produces an "Open With" dialog,
which is useless for opening SMB folders. Thunar previously behaved correctly
[no version available]. Konqueror and smbclient are able to access the folder.
The shared folder is served over a LAN by Windows XP Home Edition as
\\MAIN\SharedDocs.
To reproduce, I click Network in the Thunar Shortcuts side pane. Two options
are presented -- MAIN and "Windows Network," which, after entering the "MSHOME"
workgroup, both lead to MAIN. MAIN hosts two shares -- print$ and SharedDocs --
which appear as folders in Thunar. Double-clicking either of them produces an
"Open With" dialog, as usually shown for unknown filetypes; because it is going
through a VFS, none are any use. It seems to have identified the file as type
"(null)". Right-clicking either folder and selecting "Open in New Window"
successfully opens them in a new windows, but does not mount them, so they
appear empty and are useless.

It might help to know what changed. Do you remember when exactly the
problem starting to appear? It might be related to some gvfs changes, if
Thunar wasn't upgraded at that time.
