We see two warnings:
Setting up linux-image-5.15.0-2-amd64 (5.15.5-1) ...
...
Warning: os-prober will not be executed to detect other bootable partitions.
Systems on them will not be added to the GRUB boot configuration.
Check GRUB_DISABLE_OS_PROBER documentation entry.
Setting up grub-pc (2.06-2) ...
...

We look at
(info "(grub) Simple configuration")
and read about GRUB_DISABLE_OS_PROBER.
But nowhere is it mentioned how to turn off those two warnings.
No, we don't want to turn on the prober. We just want to turn off the warnings.

OK, maybe next release, the maintainer will remove the run-time warning,
as we also see there is already a NEWS item.

Followup-For: Bug #1000832
IMHO the warning should be suppressed if the value is set (with either
value). I had/have:
GRUB_DISABLE_OS_PROBER=true
in my /etc/default/grub and I still see the warning, despite the fact
that I intentionally always disabled osprober.

Hi,
I also get this warning… on a system that DOES NOT EVEN HAVE os-prober
INSTALLED IN THE FIRST PLACE.
This is *highly* misleading and irritating.
