When trying to install this package I see the following screen output:

Fyi, I uninstalled ndiswrapper-dkms and attempted to compile with
m-a -f a-i ndiswrapper and am still seing the same problem, which
leads me to suspect the bug is actually in ndiswrapper-source instead.
Probably this was obvious to the developer, but I originally suspected
some black magic in dkms.. :-)
