Package: mutt
Version: 1.14.6-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

latest mutt in debiena testing hangs with the message "could not create temporary files" when I want to delete messages (Shift + d, and then .*, then quit mutt).

This issue happened already in 2015.

Would be nice, if you could have a look at it. Thank you very much!

Best

Hans

Dear maintainers,

this issue exists still (or again?) in the latest version of debian-amd64/
testing. In debian-i386/testing mutt is working fine.

Best regards

Hans

Package: mutt
Version: 2.0.5-4.1
Followup-For: Bug #969279

Dear Maintainer,

I can confirm this issue now for almost half a year, maybe longer.
However, this issue appears only on amd64, on i386 it seems to work well.

Best regards

Hans

Sorry, I can't duplicate this problem. You'll need to provide more
details, and steps to reliably reproduce.

What is $tmpdir set to? Does this only happen when you tag-delete *all*
messages and quit, or are there other circumstances? Does this happen
just for your $spoolfile, or does it also happen for mailboxes in your
home directory? What about maildir vs mbox files?
