cdrecord: Out of memory. Cannot send SCSI cmd via ioctl

I get the error as shown in the subject every so often. I can burn 10-20
CDs and then it can't do any more. What causes this error? Do I have to
schedule the machine to reboot every so often to clean house?

I think you are right. I am using the scsi, isofs, cdrom modules.
Dominik Stadler also mentioned this to me. I will try and compile it
into the kernal and see if the problem goes away.

There is a small utility called swapout included with ftape.
It just does what the name suggests and usually cures memory
fragmentation. It's so small i hope nobody minds if i attach it.
