I've got netatalk running on a Linux system but many of my users have
passwords longer than 8 characters. The Mac Chooser won't let these users
connect, griping that the password is too long.

I know this must be a FAQ, but I've searched high and low and have been
unable to find the answer so far. Is there a publicly-available UAM that I
should be using, or is the only real answer to shorten the passwords?
