Hello people!! I am Raja Mukhopadhyay a masters student in the department of Information Technology at Jadavpur University India, Kolkata. I am very much interested in the Gatekeeper project and am looking for something to begin contributing with. I love coding in C and have a strong background in Security and Cryptography. Is there someone who could guide me so that I may start contributing to this project?

Many Thanks
Raja Mukhopadhyay

Hi Raja,

Thanks for reaching out!

Although it is not official yet, we are planning to be an organization in Google Summer of Code 2019. If you are interested in participating in GSoC, I would recommend checking out our ideas list:

It seems that our project for protecting the GT-GK channel may suit your strenghts. You can also look at our proposal advice to help you craft a strong proposal:

If you are looking to contribute outside of GSoC, I would recommend trying to set up a Gatekeeper environment here:

And maybe even getting started with one of the small issues in our repository here:

Hope that helps,
Cody

Hi Devika,

Welcome!

The entry point to Gatekeeper project is here: https://github.com/AltraMayor/gatekeeper.

As Michel pointed out in another thread, you can explore the projects in our ideas list (https://github.com/AltraMayor/XIA-for-Linux/wiki/Ideas-list#2019), choose one, organize a plan to write your proposal (, and interactively write, study, write, think how to make your proposal better, write, study, write, read code, write, try things out, write, ..., and submit your proposal before the deadline. You find more advice on writing a proposal here:

We are finishing up a production version of Gatekeeper; you can follow our progress here: https://github.com/AltraMayor/gatekeeper/milestone/3. Once we are done, what should be soon, we'll focus on documenting the project to help the first production deployment. You can find all the documentation that we have already written and will write here:

Good luck!
