Hi!
I thought my portable install of Swift Linux on a USB HDD had gotten fried. So then I reinstalled it. Once installed, I ran the software update manager; which took good long time. After that, Swift mostly works. There are just a couple of quirks with it I've noticed after all that updating, though.
First of all not all the log-out buttons work from the desktop. If I open the log-out menu, the reboot and shut down buttons do nothing. Which is a wee bit of a nuisance. The log out button works, though. So, if I want to shut down or reboot the computer I have to log out of the desktop and then I can shut down or reboot the computer.
The other little problem is that the MPlayer app appears as if it's disappeared. Or at least the desktop icon for it doesn't work. Although when I look at Synaptic, it appears as if it's still installed there. Should I try to reinstall it via Synaptic? Or might there be another problem?
Thanks in advance!
