Swift Lunux vs #!

I am wondering what the advantages of Swift Linux are over using Crunchbang Linux which is also based on Debian stable?  One thing I really like about #! is the way Thunar has been modified with custom plug-ins.  I sort of like LXDE, but I find PCmanfm to be unreliable.  I also don't like the way LXDE starts Openbox with a different session nullifying my custom keybindings.

Swift Linux will be moving in the CrunchBang direction.  I have tried CrunchBang, and I consider it to be the best distro when it comes to the under-the-hood aspects - based on Debian Stable, lightweight, plays DVDs out-of-the-box, and a large repository (which Puppy Linux lacks).

What I don't like about CrunchBang is the lack of a desktop.  Thus, I recommend installing LXDE on it and then following the steps at http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=175&t=104518 .  With these minor tweaks, you can give CrunchBang the look and feel of Linux Mint, antiX Linux, and Puppy Linux.

Honestly, I've been able to run swift very well on some computers that have issues with #!.  I, personally, consider that to be a big advantage.  I use #! on all my main computers (even with mentionable resources) that I have to use to get stuff done.  But, on the ones that I play with and tinker on, Swift is awesome.  There are some bugs, no doubt.  But, even if Swift did not move in the CrunchBang direction, I'd still like it and use it.  I've not really tried to do any development or hacking with it.  My use of Swift is strictly for pleasure on super old laptops.  So, I'd say that the advantage of it in my opinion is the fact that you can install it on a busted light bulb or a rock if need a decent working OS.
