Yes we all know this is the boring section, it still counts. It
focuses on BIOS, IRQ, storage device types etc.
A tricky section to learn, you can follow up some of the commands but
not much to fiddle with as most is legacy hardware theory: these
channels are auto-configured with today's plug-and-play.
New users might find this boggling at first (I still do sometimes) so
don't be scared to ask. Additional resources to help learn this theory
would be appreciated.

Well it has been a tough few weeks... still trudging through the topic.
Said I would give a bit of a comparison between the two study guides I
have, haven't had time for a formal write up... but I can add that the
mention of commands shouldn't be an indication of all you need to know
about them... every single terminal command has a host of options that
can be used to enhance their functionality and I think the study guide
doesn't point out the need to know ones very well (except I guess if you
need to know them all :/)
