Hi,

Email server of company has the following specifications

Red Hat Linux 7.1
(Kernel 2.4.7-10 i686 unknown)
(Server Software==>Apache/1.3.19(Unix))
(Sendmail)
(Openwebmail)

I want to upgrade the server to RHL 9.0. because there is a hell of SPAM coming and i found no solution for this using RHL versions older than 9.0. If something is possible to stop spam and junk emails using current configuration then please tell me.

Please tell me what sort of changes will be made in server settings or what sort of changes occured in settings during/after upgrade.

Waiting for kind and urgent help.

Regards

Why R U you upgrading to Red Hat 9.0? If you R upgrading then Go for Fedora Core 4.

Fedora is Redhat's Community Project. After 9.0 Redhat changed the free Distributions name to Fedora.. So it still is Redhat. They Even have a paid Version RHEL (RedHat Enterprise Linux). You can even go for that if you also want support and are ready to pay.

Spam protection solutins like Inflex and XamimeLT are good. I'm saying because I have Used them and received less spam. Also install clamav antivirus and enable your Spam filter to use them so they detect and block virus infected mails.

regards,
Sam
