Dear Manu,

You first configure the linux box as samba server. Its not a tedious job. You just start the daemon using the following command
/etc/init.d/smb start
Then you can use the mount command to mount the shared folder in your windows box
thats all

hai friends,

i was trying to access a shared folder in my windows server.
I heard that i can mount a windows directory to linux and access th e folder, For that i issued some commands... i don't know whether i am correct...
the command which i gave was :
mount -t smbfs -o username=administrator,password=passwd1234 //server/website /home/mount


Anyway i got some errors, which says


"4377: Connection to server failed
SMB connection failed"


i didn't configure any samba yet....


somebody please help
