Hi everyone.

We've created this list to discuss setting up Linux on Macbooks,
hopefully focusing on the newer Macbook Pro Retinas. I've invited the
few people that have reached out to me via email, and I think it makes
sense to advertise or share the group openly now.

It could be that the suspend problem is related to what is mentioned here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HybridGraphics#Fix_Suspend.2FWake_Freezing

Rod Smith, author of rEFInd, is merging in the apple_set_os.efi code into rEFInd, so in an up-and-coming version, we'll be able to see both adapters. With a hacked version that I have locally, I can see both adapters on Ubuntu 14.04, kernel 3.19, MacBook Pro 11,5.

I use apple_set_os.efi and I can see my two adapters, but I try a lot of combinations and I can't find how suspend my MBP. See this bug report
