MUST HAVE SKILLS:
- Linux Admin experience (3-4 years) ==> Redhat and CentOS
- Knowledge of network and web related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols)
- Scripting skills (Python)
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- BA/BS degree
- Candidate must be willing to work 6 pm to 2 am or from 12 am to 8 am shifts and be part of on-call rotations.
Client is looking for a Linux System Administrator to join our System Integration team
- Setup and maintain server hardware and operating systems.
- Responsible for installation, configuration and maintenance of network services, equipment and devices.
- Design, develop, and execute test plan based on software requirements.
- System Integration responsibility to provide automate and integrate multiple systems.
- Evaluate and recommend new and emerging products and technologies.
- Automate operations by writing scripts.
- Assist with black box system testing.
- Infrastructure and process documentation.
Basic Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience in the Linux system administration and VMware field.
· At least 3-4 years’ experience in System Administration of Linux servers (Redhat and CentOS).
· Experience in troubleshooting server issues related to systems and applications such as Apache, DNS.
· Experience with system hardening and familiarity with iptables and selinux.
· Experience with data canter servers including blade servers from HP and Dell.
· Experience with RDS for installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
· Knowledge of network and web related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols)
· Scripting skills (e.g., Perl, Python, shell scripting)
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills
· Excellent teamwork skills, result oriented and self-motivated.
