test.java in jBioAPI not working (windows)

Hi,
I am fighting with this problem for very long time.Whenever
i run test.java in jBioAPI src it gives following errors:

BioAPI Error: 0x1
null
net.qrivy.jbioapi.BioApiException
at net.qrivy.bioapi.BioAPIJNI.loadModule(Native Method)
at net.qrivy.bioapi.BioAPI.loadModule(BioAPI.java:159)
at net.qrivy.jbioapi.BiometricsFramework.getBiometricServiceProvider
(BiometricsFramework.java:140)
at Test.main(Test.java:71)

hard coded uuid : {263a41e0-71eb-11d4-9c34-124037000000}
I am using jdk1.5 and eclipse 3.1.
Please help...

Looks like a JNI issue. Did you compile the DLL?

I'm not familiar with Elisardo Gonzalez's MS Windows build --
hopefully he'll chime in with a suggestion.

Thanks for replying.I haven't compiled the DLL.I am a newbee to JNI,so
can you give some info about how should i proceed because i am not
getting any help.

Dear all,

In order to help you I need to know if you are working on UNIX or
Windows environment. If you are working on Windows environment, is it
Windows XP or Vista distribution? The JBioAPI DLL that is embedded
inside the attached jbioapi.jar was compiled for Windows XP (32bits) and
we have tested that it works fine. Have you first installed the BioAPI
framework in your machine? Because, JBioAPI is a wrapper that allows to
access from JAVA to the BioAPI framework.

Well, have you tried running the Sample.exe application embedded with
BioAPI in order to check that BioAPI Framework is working fine? With
this sample application you can choose among the different BSP that you
have installed in your computer. Check that you have installed the BSPs
that you are using.

At the other hand, what Upek sensor do you have? Eikon or TouchChip
fingerprint reader, because they have different BSP identifiers.
UPEK TouchChip 2
=> {5550454b-2054-6f75-6368-43686970ae00}
UPEK TouchChip TFM/ESS Fingerprint BSP (Eikon) =>
{5550454b-2054-464d-2f45-535320425350}

How to proceed:
- Check that BioAPI and BSPs are well installed.
- Be sure that from Eclipse you are using the last version of
JBioAPI.jar (442,766 bytes) that has embedded the JBioAPI.dll inside
the package
\jbioapi.jar\es\uvigo\tsc\gts\biowebauth\lib\jbioapi\resources\
- Test JBioAPI with one of the installed BSPs.

now it says that i should install login configurations.I want to know
that can i use it without installing login configurations.

Hello, it is possible call to a Biometric Service Provider (BSP) of
BioAPI from your Java program using the BiometricsFramework and
BiometricServiceProvider classes of JBioAPI. And it is possible without
the login configurations.

Hi Elisardo,
It was great talking to you,now everything is working fine. I
haven't expected this kind of response from an API developer as you
would be busy with your own work.Thanks for your support and
contribution to biometrics.

One thing more,can i get the UUID dynamicaly instead of using the
hardcoded one????

Hi Raj,
If you are using Windows environment, you can use the MDSEdit300.exe
program of BioAPI in order to know the UUID of the installed BSPs. The
UUID are showed inside of BIOAPI_BSP_RECORDTYPE key.
If you are using UNIX environment, you can use the BioAPI'
BioAPITest command that shows the UUIDs of all the installed BSPs.
